Our Service Objectives

At Falcon Panel Products, our primary aim is to offer a first-class service to the manufacturing groups outlined on these pages.

Now in our 20th year, we have built up strong, long-term relationships with many customers, and have continued to increase our understanding of their business requirements. Providing the right materials, manufactured to the quality standards expected by our customers, is central to the Falcon Panel Products operation.

In September 2003 the door opened at our new depot in Nottingham. This facility, was our first dedicated distribution centre and we continue to develop our customer profile, based on a range of quality products, competitive prices and a dedicated service. Falcon's range of 'core' products is also distributed nation-wide from this excellent facility.

It is achieved through close links with our suppliers - our long-lasting and mutually beneficial association with Norbord in Scotland, for example, has resulted in an exclusive contract to supply Strebord© and many other products.

Our experienced staff appreciates your particular needs and will deal with your enquiries promptly and efficiently. We keep abreast of technical and legislative developments within the industry, and how they relate to our customers, offering support and advice wherever possible.

Maintaining reliable supplies is achieved through expertise in sourcing timber products worldwide. This is backed up with excellent stockholding facilities at import terminals and strategically placed inland storage areas.

The Future

As importers and distributors of wood based panels, we will continue to source reliable, quality supplies in the UK, Europe and around the world.

Recent investment in the UK and Ireland suggest growing self-sufficiency in wood panel production close to the market place. We will build ever-stronger business relationships with domestic suppliers to benefit our customers.

The industry is changing; plywood will, for example, be replaced with OSB and MDF in some applications.

Falcon Panel Products is in a strong position to anticipate and monitor such developments, and will liaise with and advise suppliers and customers on the changing environment.

Sustainable forest management is increasingly becoming the norm across the globe. As members of the Timber Trade Federation and Forests Forever, we support such policies and examine the procedures of our potential suppliers accordingly.

Falcon Panel Products' unique role in providing a specialist service to industrial accounts will continue to be a challenging one. Our intention to offer the alternative will be fully tested in the coming years.
